Tom Brady Has Announced His Retirement From the NFL After 22 Seasons and Seven Super Bowl Triumphs.
Tom Brady exits the NFL as one of American’s finest ever athletes
He was the best quarterback in NFL history, with 22 seasons and seven Super Bowl victories. Tom Brady has now come to an end.
News of the 44-year-possible old’s retirement came out over the weekend, even though he said he was still deciding what to do next.
On Tuesday, however, he said that his last game was when his Tampa Bay Buccaneers lost to the Los Angeles Rams in the playoffs last month, and that was his last game.
Brady said in a statement on Instagram that he has always thought that football is a “all-in” proposition. If you don’t put 100% of your heart and soul into the game, you won’t succeed, and that’s what I love so much about our game.
Every single day, I face a physical, mental, and emotional challenge that has helped me reach my fullest potential.
I have tried my best for the past 22 years.
No matter how good you are at something, there are no shortcuts to becoming a good player or person.
Here we go: I’m not going to make that competitive promise any more.
I’ve had a great time in the NFL, but now it’s time to put my time and energy into other things that need it.
In the last week, I’ve thought a lot and asked myself hard questions, and I’ve come up with a lot of ideas.
And I’m so proud of what we’ve done.
Athletes deserve 100% of me, but right now, I should leave the field of play to the next generation of athletes who work hard and are dedicated.
In the past, Brady was known for his ruthless desire to win. At an age when most NFL players have already retired, there were few, if any, signs that his skills had faded.
In his last season, he was as good as ever. He led the league in passing yards (5,316), touchdowns (43), completions (485) and attempts (719).
Almost as many things he has done are on his resume as he has done in his life.
He has won seven Super Bowls, with six with the New England Patriots and one with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers last season. That’s more than any player has ever done in NFL history.
He also has the NFL record for most passing touchdowns (624) and most passing yards in a single season (84,250).
On Tuesday, Brady said that his playing career had been a “amazing ride” that was “far beyond my expectations,” and that it had been full of ups and downs.
Every day, you don’t think about the end at all.
As I’m sitting here, though, I think about all the great players and coaches I had the chance to play with and against. The competition was fierce and deep, just how we like it!
But the friendships and relationships are just as strong and long-lasting as they were in the past.
Those memories will stay with me for a long time and I will think about them often.
It makes me feel like I’m the luckiest person in the world.”
It was in 2015 that Brady got into a fight with the NFL because it was alleged that he ordered the deflation of footballs during a playoff game against the Indianapolis Colts.
The case went to court. Brady was suspended for four games.
There were a lot of people who wanted to play in the league because of Brady, and NFL commissioner Roger Goodell paid tribute to the quarterback on Tuesday.
As a football player, “Tom Brady will be known as one of the best ever,” said Goodell.
An amazing competitor and leader, his stellar career isn’t just impressive because of how long it has been, but also because of how well he kept up his level of excellence year after year.”
Tom made everyone around him better and always seemed to be ready for the biggest events.
In New England, Tampa, and around the world, he had one of the best careers in NFL history, and he made people all over the world excited about football.
To watch him play and have him in the NFL has been an honour.
For all of his work on our game, we say “thank you,” and we also wish Tom and his family a happy and healthy life.
